Where are all the traffic wardens?

Thursday 28 January

The football Gods are against me! I'll be brief today.

I conquered the temptation to find out about the Man Utd v Man City result, my manager asked me this morning if I knew the result. I didn't, I was asked if I wanted to know - I said 'No'! Of course I wanted to know but I fought the temptation. The cat was let out of the bag by an uninformed colleague who I passed on my way to the toilet, shouted out 'You were jammy last night!' I was so annoyed, I punched the toilet wall. I might as well just watch the match myself. I know now Man Utd won 3-1 and are in the final, but who the competitors are I don't know.

I was offered the opportunity to learn about some January transfer window news, but I declined. The only move I'm aware of is Laindon Donovan to Everton and that was arranged in December 09.

The one I knew I'd never be able to escape was the Nigeria v Ghana game! There was a running joke that you could park anywhere for free today! The joke being that all the Civic Enforcement Officers (Traffic Wardens to you and I)are Nigerian or Ghanian and they'll be watching the watch. 'Why is the kick off 4pm?' was one Facebook status. I know Nigeria lost, my Ghanian friends Facebook status was gloating about the victory. There's 160 million plus (Nigeria's population) disappointed people in the world tonight. If you know any and they want to quit football direct them to my blog!!! http://kfd1.blogspot.com
